I am a Master-Certified Health & Wellness Coach; I work with both individuals and groups. All classes I offer are backed by science, and focus on helping people of all ages live healthier and happier lives. I offer plant based nutrition and cooking classes in the community; have spent 2 years in a dietetic program, hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science (Syracuse University) and have spent many years as an ACE certified personal trainer and exercise instructor. Additionally, I am also a professional plant-based chef and enjoy helping others find easy and delicious ways to incorporate more vegetables (plants) and whole foods into their diet. While I specialize in the areas of nutrition and exercise, I believe in a whole body approach to wellness. By incorporating the 4 pillars of Health (Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, and Nutrition) we integrate the mind-body connection that is crucial to achieving and sustain behavioral change. I provide my clients with education, motivation, support, and trust. Together we discover the roadblocks that are preventing them from achieving optimal health and wellness.
I live in Milton, Delaware with my son and daughter, dogs, 2 parrots and 13 chickens. I love to garden and try to grow as much of my own food as possible. Quite often my dinner will be consumed as I spend time picking vegetables from my garden. There is nothing like freshly picked beans and tomatoes ripe from the vine. I own a small plant based bakery where we showcase many of our unusual, creative, and delicious baked goods.
Helping individuals understand the connection between food and our planet is important to me. When making food choices we are shaping the future. We need to keep in mind not only our health but also the sustainability of the planet. The good news is that to regain our health by choosing foods (primarily plants) that nourish our bodies we will in turn be healing the planet.
